Hi, I’m Cecilia. I’m originally from China, currently based in the US, working as a language teacher. That basically means I’m fluent in patience, improvisation, and reading between the lines even when there are no lines.

When I’m not teaching, I’m traveling, writing, and collecting real first love stories from people around the world. Yes, it’s just as emotional and heartwarming as it sounds. I’m writing a book filled with memories, surprises, and the quiet beauty of how we once loved.

I’m curious, open, and quietly expressive. I love meaningful conversations, but I’m also perfectly content watching the world from a train window.
I enjoy photography, swimming, boxing, learning languages, and wandering into places I wasn’t planning to find.

I travel with a suitcase that might be a little too full. Inside are cameras, dreams, and snacks I promised I wouldn’t bring. If we share a space, I will bring calm energy, help with dishes, and never say no to a good story.

I’m currently working on a book collecting real first love stories from around the world. I love listening to people’s stories, not just the big dramatic ones, but also the quiet, funny, surprising ones that stay with you.

I tend to save songs because of how they make me feel. Sometimes it’s the melody, sometimes just a single line that stays.
I don’t always remember the titles, but they’re all in my playlist, quietly living there like little echoes I go back to.

🎬 Movies
I’m drawn to films with emotional weight, the kind that leave a quiet space after they end.
One movie I’ve watched several times is The Last Emperor. It’s visually stunning, slow in a way that makes you feel history breathing, and full of a certain kind of sadness I can’t quite explain.

📚 Books
My reading is a little scattered, but always led by curiosity.
Lately, I’ve been diving into psychology. I just finished The Secret and I’m thinking about what it really means to believe in something before it shows up in your life. Still trying to decide if the universe is listening, but I’m talking to it anyway.

I went surfing and scuba diving in Cancun without knowing how to swim.
Some might call it brave. Others might call it mildly chaotic. I call it poetic spontaneity.

Back in the US, I decided to fix that tiny detail called “not being able to swim.”
I took eight swimming lessons in a month and now I can do four strokes, breathe underwater like a fish, and occasionally pretend I’m training for the Olympics.

📚 Teach
I can teach you some basic Chinese, how to write your name in characters, or how to say a few sweet or fun phrases.
I can also share what I’ve learned about storytelling and interviewing people about their first love. It’s more emotional than you’d expect, and sometimes unexpectedly hilarious.
If you’re into photography, I’d love to take portraits or wander around with our cameras chasing good light.
And if you’ve ever wanted to punch the air dramatically like in a movie, I’ve learned a bit of boxing and would be happy to show you a few playful moves. I’m not a pro, but I can look serious for about ten seconds.

🌍 Learn
I’m always curious about how people live, what they believe in, and how they see the world.
I’d love to learn about your culture, your favorite comfort food, or how you make the perfect cup of tea or coffee.

I can share stories from my book project, travel memories, silly translation mistakes, playlists for long walks, and maybe even a quiet evening talking about life.
