About Me

Fairly chilled and very happy aspiring anthropologist...

Obsessed with my friends and the sea and my (part-time) dog :)

I really enjoy meeting new people so although I'm not always able to host I would like to meet up if I'm free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the most fun part of travelling is meeting new people - especially local people.

Interests

At the moment, my interests generally centre around social situations - I love enjoying a nice glass of wine, go to a concert or the movies, eat a lovely meal with good friends or just hang out and look at people.

Nothing out of the ordinary interest-wise for me. I use to do horseback riding and I love animals in general. I have a 'part-time' dog (he lives with my mother most of the time) and I really enjoy taking him out on long walks.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music, movies or books? I don't know, this is not easy. For me all of the three are mood-dependent. I do not like horror music and I am probably not super in to death metal but except for that, I am pretty open to all genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if I have done anything particularly amazing, however I have experienced amazing things - I'm just gonna mention a couple:

I went to Mongolia - out on the country side west of Ulaan Bataar where we drove around in an old Russian army van (driven by the biggest man I have ever met Urka) and stayed with nomad families. One of these families took us on a trip on horseback over three days. That was pretty splendid!

A couple of years back I went to Monteray, CA and while there we went out on a whale watching trip - such a grand experience for me. I saw blue whales - the biggest thing alive I have witnessed, and as I was walking to the back of the boat to check on my sea sick friend a young humpback whale breached out of the water right in front of me. Took my breath away.
