About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spend more time travelling than at home...

ABOUT ME

I love! Basically. Love travelling, love friends, love meeting new people, love beer, love London, love sunshine, love Rio de Janeiro, love Spanish, love tree climbing, love cheap bars, love riding, love samba, love surprises, love challenges, love windsurfing...
And, of course, I love CS! My first CS-experience was in Rio in January 2008.
My whole life I have been dreaming about going to Rio for carnival, and this wish actually came true this year! And thanks to some wonderful CS-hosts, I had the most amazing time! This made me come back, and last year I lived in Rio for 6 months, studying at the university and learning portuguese.
I have also been travelling in Latin America a few years ago, spending one month in El Salvador and 3 months in Paraguay, doing volunteer work.
This has been the most fantastic journey - I felt like living in a happy bobble of seeing new places, meeting new people (much of them through CS) and closing my eyes while using my creditcard.
As I didn't want it to stop I moved to London 10 days after I got home.
This was where I discovered how brilliant the idea of CS is, even though you're not even surfing or hosting. Through the London network I met funny people, interesting people, clever people, crazy people, and people I now count amongst my best friends. I didn't have one day in London feeling lonely - thanks to the fabulous CS'ers there.

For now, however, I'll only be active as a member of the Copenhagen-group and up for a coffee or drink, but I'll be working on preparing my room (and flatmate) for hosting!
Until then, I'll be happy to help any traveller have a good experience in Copenhagen - so feel free to write me if you need tips, help, or if you're feeling lost in a new city (Copenhagen) with a strange language!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to do the things that make me happy, which is, in general, the things described above...
