About Me
I am new to Couchsurfing!
I origin from Bern but now I live in Zürich to study the natural sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. I look forward to meeting people to broaden my horizon and to identify the prejudices I might have without knowing it, and then throw them overboard.
My biggest virtue is honesty. My greatest fear is that I might be lying to myself without realizing it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get to know people and places! To really get to know a place, you have to get in touch with the locals, and in order to do that is no better way than to sleep on a locals couch!
Interests
cooking, dancing, board and card games, martial arts (Judo & Jiu Jitsu), science and technology
I am always up to a philosophical conversation but I also enjoy a good night out with lots of dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Even though I'm not your stereotypical metal head, I listen mostly to metal (Arch Enemy, The Agonist, Dimmu Borgir, Death) but also to some Reggae (Seeed) and occasionally jazz or classical music.
I like fantasy and science fiction movies and books (Discworld novels, The Name of the Wind). I like TV series (Orphan Black, Vikings, Orange Is the New Black). I am really not into super heroes though.
You should definitely see 'Adams aebler'.
Also I didn't like Pulp Fiction. I found it really boring. Sorry 'bout that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During civil service (alternative to the military service) I worked in a transit home for mentally ill people. One day, one of the residents came in, a woman who didn't speak german and only very bad english, and asked for the winter catalogue, because she wanted to look for a new jacket. However, I knew that she has very little money, so I asked:
"Why do you need a new jacket? Havent you got the jacket with the feathers in it? (I didn't know the word 'down jacket')"
Her: "Yeah, but I took all the feathers out?"
Me: "Why?!"
She looked at me very grimly.
"Else they turn me into chicken!"
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will gladly cook for/with you, play games and talk about whatever you find interesting. I am always curious to learn about what people do and if you do something I'm not familiar with, all the better!
