ABOUT ME

Hello!

My name is Thomas and I am currently living in Seattle, WA. I am moving to NYC on March 1st. I am trying to save as much of my money as possible and a safe and free (or with cleaning duties, or reduced price!) place to stay is a very interesting prospect while I set things up for myself in The City. I currently have a room booked in a hostel in South Harlem for a few days and will be extending the trip if another opportunity does not arise.

I am a musician, a business professional, and pretty well a jack of all trades. I have studied classical voice for 5 years total across a few different voice teachers and have performed professionally with a major opera company here in Seattle as a chorister. I have a BA in Liberal Arts and minors in Music & Business Administration. These days I consider myself a singer/songwriter/versatile artist and plan to pursue that path a bit farther and see where it takes me. I'd be happy to play some for you. In the short term I plan to make money performing on the streets and expect to do very, very well doing so.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am unable to host. My place is a whirlwind while I am packing for my move. I am primarily using CS to find a place to stay while I become accustomed to life in NYC. If my situation were to change in the future I would be more than open to hosting at my own place.

Not much! I'm at a pretty big turning point in my life. Things are changing rapidly and I am excited!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The summer before my junior year of high school I was on a kayaking trip with friends in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington State. An Orca whale surfaced less than 25ft from our group of kayaks, blew a ton of water up into the air and disappeared again below the surface. I'll never forget it, and it is the first thing that will always come to mind for this sort of question.
