I am currently in South Korea working as a Snowboard Instructor, I will be in Japan from March to May and then in New Zealand for a whole year (working holiday visa).
getting friends from every country I have visited.
Finding the purpose of my life.
Keep on enjoying my youth, let's save regrets for later.
Born and raised in France (Lyon) , I first moved to English speaking countries after my studies in 2012, with no big ambitions nor plans I have been hopping around since then, traveling and working here and there.
I am a simple person, easy going and friendly, love most of outdoor activities (especially boarding) but not only, always up for a gig, drink... but most of all meeting sound people :)
Every new person you meet and get to know, might somehow change the course of your life without you even realising.
Real friendship doesn't need to be watered to sprout and grow. People that I met a few times or haven't talked for a long time are not necessarely people I don't care about.
I tend to trust most of people I meet, so far I have been really lucky, so I'll carry on.
I try my best not to judge the people I don't know. I like things to pe reciprocical.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people wherever I travel to (Being hosted or host someone is surely the main purpose but I also use(d) it in order to meet local who couldn't spare a couch).
Since I've started using couchsurfing I've definitely changed the way I travel. I am learning much more and experiencing the countries I visit a different way.
Some requests I send may not always seem thoughtful, but I can assure that I don't send a request if I think that the only thing I can get from you is a free bed.
meeting locals is what makes your travels unique. You may also find yourself doing or seeing things you may haven't planned or did not know of.
Unfortunately i haven't had my own place for a long time so hosting can be difficult, I will however try my best to catch up as soon as doable !
. This one time in indonesia, I met some people in the train, they were going to the same "town". they had a couchsurf planned, when we arrived at the station. Wijaya, their host proposed to my girlfriend and myself to come to his house... So we ended up being 5 guests with this lovely family, We had an amazing time and they told us so many tricks to know about their country (they even told us how to sneak into the volcano and camp in the crater at night).
The general chain of friends on couchsurfing is just amazing, receiving a message from previous host saying that they are talking about you with a girl you met 2 months earlier 2000km away from where they are currently having this conversation, contacting and meeting someone simply because they are on the friendlist of the last person you met,etc..
I mut admit that I am far from being intelectual, philosophic and you will hardly see me making any reference to an author... that doesn't mean I don't like these things I just need a push :).
I like outdoors and especially mountain scenery.
Music, Movies, and Books
Quite Eclectic to be fair, to be fair I mainly listen electronic stuff when I am by myself, but I am really easy going, play your stuff :)
Drum and Bass - Liquid
GlitchHop - Ghetto Funk - Funky Breaks
TripHop - Downtempo - HipHop
Electroswing, acid Jazz
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Nothing really amazing but thingsI am definitely proud of:
Cycling and camping for 2 months non stop around japan in solo with no prior experience.
Hitch hiking and Couch-surfing in Japan .
2 months Traveling (illegally) by motorbike and camping/couch-surfing around Vietnam.
Forthcoming : Traveling by bicycle in Japan and taiwan
Teach, Learn, Share
The easiest thing to share would be language, most of people want to know some French slang or a few "romantic" things to say. I don't really know much about languages besides French and English, (多分少し日本語) but I would be happy to learn a bit more. I have a licence to teach English that I need to put into practice.
If everything goes well I will have the CASI lvl2 (Snowboard instructor) certificate in April of this year - I doubt that I may ever snowboard with one of you guys but it's worth mentioning.
Tips Tips Tips about places !
