About Me

Currently teaching Kitesurfing near Rhodes town, Greece. I share a flat with a friend, I'm pretty busy but there's a couch available!

Transform my travel hungry lifestyle into a sustainable life (being able to support myself from anywhere) while enjoying what I do for a living.
Do a border-crossing bike trip in Europe.

Making friends from every country I have visited.
Keep on enjoying my youth, let's save regrets for later.

Born and raised in France (Lyon), I first moved to English-speaking countries after my studies in 2012, with no big ambitions nor plans I have been hopping around since then, travelling and working here and there.

I am a simple person, easy going and friendly, love most of the outdoor activities (mountain, camping, cycling, oh and water activities !) but not only, always up for a gig, drink... but most of all meeting sound people :)

Every new person you meet and get to know, might somehow change the course of your life without you even realising. That's why I cherish any encounter (they make you learn and sometimes change the prospects for your own future),

Real friendship doesn't need to be watered to sprout and grow. People that I met a few times or haven't talked for a long time are not necessarily people I don't care about, you can contact me in 10 years I would still be eager to share some good times with you.

一期一会。lit. "one time, one meeting.
When hitch hiking in Japan, a lovely family took me aboard their car and taught me this idiom. The main idea is the fact that any moment in life cannot be repeated and therefore we should cherish the present encounter and people we meet.

I tend to trust most of the people I meet, so far I have been really lucky, so I'll carry on.

I try my best not to judge the people I don't know, I would like things to be reciprocal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people wherever I travel to (Being hosted or host someone is surely the main purpose but I also enjoy simply meeting up when hosting is out of the way).

Since I've started using couchsurfing I've definitely changed the way I travel. I am learning much more and take the time to experience each country rather than doing a fast food type of trip.

Some requests I send may not always seem thoughtful, but I can assure that I don't send a request if I think that the only thing I can get from you is a free bed.

Encounters is what makes your travels unique. You may also find yourself doing or seeing things you may haven't planned or did not know of.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a stable home for most of my time active on couchsurfing. Rest assured that I will host again whenever I will have my own place !

My first CS experience (unplanned):This one time in indonesia, I met some people in the train, they were going to the same "town". They had a couchsurf planned, when we arrived at the station. Wijaya, their host proposed to my girlfriend and myself to come to his house... So we ended up being 5 guests with this lovely family, We had an amazing time and they told us so many tricks to know about their country (they even told us how to sneak into the volcano and camp in the crater at night).

The general chain of friends on Couchsurfing is just amazing, receiving a message from previous host saying that they are talking about you with a girl you met 2 months earlier 2000km away from where they are currently having this conversation, contacting and meeting someone simply because they are on the friendlist of the last person you met,etc..

I must admit that I am far from being intellectual, philosophic and you will hardly see me making any reference to an author... that doesn't mean I don't like these things I just need a push :).

I like the outdoors and especially mountains scenery.
I like cooking without any recipe, I like experimenting
I've recently started learning Coding in order to freelance as a part-time activity (building websites)

Music, Movies, and Books

Quite Eclectic to be fair, to be fair I mainly listen electronic stuff when I am by myself, but I am really easy going, play your stuff :)

I do not have any musician fiber but enjoy listening to good tunes, let's share !

I have recenctly started reading books (thank you Kobo) : I mostly read sci-fi, fiction and French classical authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing really amazing but things am definitely proud of:

I have donated my hair after seeing it grow for 2 years.

in 2017 I discoverd cycling as a new way of travelling and since am always thinking of my next bike trip ! Cycled from Paris to Grenoble in one week without a tent and got hosted every day by nice local people. I enjoy being autonomous and sleep anywhere (yes I like being homeless at times).

Did a 2 days trek (covered in leeches) and slept in the jungle with a hunter and ate barking deer for breakfast.
Met many wild animals in Borneo.

Slept in the crater of a volcano without camping gear (indonesia)

2 months Traveling (illegally) by motorbike and camping/couch-surfing around Vietnam.

I became a Snowboard teacher after 6 years without Snowboarding...
I went from novice Kiteboarder to Instructor within 2 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the sports I know (if we happen to have some gear)

I can share my somewhat extensive knowledge of Asia and can help you organize your first biketrip !

I have been a chef and baker whilst working and travelling away, so I love cooking for people, I always appreciate learning or teaching a few tricks about cooking.

I'm far from being an expert but I can help a bit with HTML, CSS, JS and maybe some Wordpress integration of static web site. (im working on improving this list !)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good time, food, drinks, guide you in town, good times with my friends.
