ABOUT ME

I'm from Luxembourg where I live in the beautiful countryside in the North.
I've currently doing my Masters at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne but I'm currently signed up to do my Master thesis at Stanford University. I have also done an exchange year in Waterloo, Canada 12/13 which greatly influenced me in many ways as I first discovered the Couchsurfing community and then I did an internship in Portland, Oregon where I found all my friend in the CS community and had a great time!
I could describe myself a composite of opposites but then you could say that I sound too pessimistic, which I am, but I still try to do my best with a neutral description.
I like in the quiet countryside an going for hikes but I also like cities where it is easier to find new friends and people might be more open minded. I like talking and debating any kinds of stuff as it help to understand different people and different communities. I think I'm quite open to people with other ideas even though I will likely confront them with my owns as well. I also try to be honest and non-religious but you can convince me otherwise.

PHILOSOPHY

I find it difficult to fix your philosophy with words as they do not describe the same thing for me than they do for you so consider meeting me and seeing for yourself how my views of the world are.
I can tell you though that I don't like creationists.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I get closer to getting my degree I see how important it is to keep your life interesting and changing so that the time doesn't fly by to fast or at least that I get a lot of memories out of my life. I'd also like to meet some people with different views of the world who can tell me that I'm wrong.
I'm not sure I can host you as I either live with my parents or in a student residence where overnight-guests are not allowed but you can try and make a request!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since my very first trip in 2012 while on exchange I continue having great moments with plenty of couchsurfers

SURFING:

I have done 2 major couchsurfing trips while in Canada:
-Christmas 2012 (with Eric, Léo, Bastien and Niklas): Québec City - Montréal - Ottawa
-Spring 2013 (with Lionel and Perrine): Edmonton - Banff - Jasper - Calgary - Vancouver - Victoria

I Portland I was more interested in meeting the locals as they could show me the city and they were willing to accept me into their community!

HOSTING:

Since my childhood I have always liked to stay at my friends place and host them in return, we always had enough space and could host many people and I also love to randomly let people stay if it's too late to go home.

兴趣

I don't have any hobbies in particular but I like hanging out around the a camp fire, discovering new music, listening to live bands, watch good movies, meeting new people and hiking. I think I'm open enough to be interested in everything you tell me given that you are a good storyteller.

I don't know what you would consider amazing, but if you speak too much about something it kills the spirit. So I like all thinks I do. But one thing I can tell you is that sleeping is quite amazing!

I don't like to tell the same story twice. I'd rather like to see somebody apply what I showed them or ask me more details. I am kind of a geek but I'm very interested in hearing other stuff about psychology and religion. I can also listen to a lot of crazy shit and still take you serious (if you're not trying to be forcefully interesting). I don't spread stories when you ask me not to.
