Average guy with an apartment near the beach. Unfortunately on a hill, so car required, unless you are very fit and don't mind walking up and down a few clicks. Situated between Benalmadena and Fuengirola, 20 minutes from Malaga and a good starting point for exploring an endless list of places: Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, Sierra de las Nieves, etc. etc. Used to live in Madrid, but lived in London and San Francisco before that. Originally from Amsterdam, now working at the University of Malaga, which is actually quite a happening city lately.

I actually have a couch cum bed, so it makes sense. I used to travel a lot, but life got in the way. Now planning to catch up on travel a bit, but charity starts at home.

Went from Pink Floyd to Talking Heads, passing through Joy Division and now listening a lot to Alt-J and whatever is good these days. Quite a Van Morrison fan too.
John Irving and I go back a long way, I suppose, but not fussy about my authors. Love Lionel Shriver, Dave Eggers, Eric Brookmyre and tons more.
My all-time favourite movie is Noveciento.

People can come here and do their thing: hang out on the beach or enjoy my pool, or check out the Costa del Sol in general. I would be quite willing to take people to Malaga for a night out, or a stroll around. I actually feel I should get out to Malaga more often, but hardly get around doing so.
