ABOUT ME
Hi. My name is Ceilidh Sanders, and I’m a recent Fashion Design graduate from The Savannah College of Art and Design. For a year after graduation I worked in the costuming departments for several major motion pictures being filmed in the American South. I also have styled for commercial and worked with many independent short films. From May 2010 - August 2010 I will be traveling throughout Europe, going where ever my heart takes me!
PHILOSOPHY
Watch with glittering eyes

because the greatest secrets
are always hidden in
the most unlikely places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love this concept of couch surfing and I am kicking my self for not joining sooner. This is the way Europe should be traveled through experiencing each city and town with locals. I have been lucky enough to meet many locals and couch surf independently but as I hope to host in NYC when I get back. My #1 goal is to not lose that connection with new culture and people that we get when we travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only experience I have so far is meeting a person on the subway in NYC and beginning a conversation about couch surfing and how great it is. Where he proceeded to tell me of an event that couch surfing was putting on, which was a picnic/pot luck on the train @ 3pm and then a day in the park were the subway ended. My 1st thought was I have to be apart of this.....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the last 2 months I have traveled from London to Scotland, Amsterdam, Back to London, Italy, Austria and now in Germany.
London: I got lost in the city daily were I joined in on exhibits and Random people doing yoga in the park.
Italy: Monks in the most amazing simple church doing a Gregorian chant in Italian.
Scotland: I stayed with a tradition Gaelic singer who also spent her time documenting local peoples lives. These stories of sheep farmers, gardeners and family's who had to change there names and flee from the conflict at the time were all documented and re written word for word. These were pieces of history that would be lost if not gathered.
This list of experiences can go on and on.... but you will have to meet me to hear the rest.
