Hi there! Where do I start? I am a friendly, outgoing individual- I love meeting new people and forming new friendships across the globe. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world a little bit and am always pursuing new trips and experiences. I am easy to get a long with and love learning new things from those I meet. I currently work for a Non Profit, working on changing the world one step at a time! I look forward to making new friends on this site! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I love meeting people from all over the world! It can be hard to meet people traveling-sometimes our social expectations make it awkaward to just go up to people. I'm pretty outgoing but even still, I find this a really great way to be put in an environment where the whole idea is meeting each other- it's great! I think that we can all learn from each other, different cultures and experiences have really shaped me into who I am today and I have had many experiences where meeting new friends along my way has really changed my direction. I am always looking for ways to extend my circle wherever I go, have friends everywhere and all over and learn as much as I can from as many people as I can in the process! I love teaching the things I know, I love cooking and creating and would basically be up for anything you want to do! Can't wait to meet you :)

Interests

I love traveling and seeing new things and meeting new friends! I've been traveling off and on for the past 3 years and can't seem to shake the travel bug! I love learning! Kindle is a travelers dream, my backpack and back are so grateful to that invention! Im always trying to learn and grow. So much of that comes from places like this, meeting great people with wild stories to tell, advice for the future, recipes, which bar to go to, music to listen to... I love when people tell me about their experiences and talk to me passionately about their life stories! I run a Non Profit who teaches how we can be a better friend to the earth we live on. I love animals and am always up for taking a dog on a walk or cat sitting- so if you need any help there feel free to ask me, I would love to!

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to read all over the place so I have a little bit inside about a lot of topics. I have a soft spot for Philosophy, I've been reading a lot about food recently. I also really enjoy the classics and a good travel guide- they're very handy to give you insight on the country you're in!

Music ranges from pop to alternative. I actually listen to anything and am always open to new suggestions. My favorite bands have been those recommended to me. If you're musically inclined, let me know! I would love to listen to you play!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am really proud of the work that we are doing with the NPO. My husband and I started it back in San Francisco and went through some really tough times but we have persevered and are working at relocating it, restructuring it and starting over from scratch. Right now we are looking for a new home where it can really thrive! We are working mostly online right now concerning the infrastructure until the perfect location comes our way :)

As a fun fact, I used to bartend large scale festivals where I got to meet many DJs and artists from all over the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

My dad is an Italian chef so I grew up in a home learning his art. Since I have expanded off of that and moved into Thai based recipes and seasonings. I have a little blog where I post healthy recipes from time to time when I am home or some place stable for a while to get into it. I make crazy delicious chocolate treats that are actually good for you- I would be more than happy to teach you or feed you :)

If you have a liquor cabinet and like fancy drinks I can pull from my memory of bar school and make you something tasty!

I have a large collection of books on my kindle that I can recommend depending on your interests!

I have loads of information about healthy eating, foods that are good for you and their medicinal purposes from a natural medicine perspective (i dabbled a lot in this while living in Central America and actually cured myself of something doctors in the west told me I would never be able to heal!)
