I am looking for ways to get a "real feel" for the town, community, and culture. Meeting locals has always been the best way for me to truly feel like a part of the community.

ABOUT ME

I am 23 years old and my one true passion in life is traveling and exploring new cultures. I studied abroad in Sicily and since then have had an intense love affair with Italy and all it has to offer. There is something about the way of life that is so simple, pure, and passionate. I am returning to Italy for 10 days in March to visit my sister who is studying abroad in Padua, and I am looking for a way to stay in city and really EXPERIENCE what it has to offer!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to be happy and kind. I find the two most important things you can do is to love others and surround yourself with kindness. I like to constantly learn new things, and I am open to trying anything...I am a believer in things happening for a reason, and fate & destiny...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time on CS but I have a friend in France who says it has been her favorite way of making friends! I figured, why not! I am hoping to find like-minded people who are willing to help me make the most of my 10 days back in Italy, and would gladly host a CS back in the USA.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE MUSIC. Some of my favorite bands are The Rolling Stones, U2, Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers...I also love small independent bands, like noah and the whale..

My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird, and I will read anything once...if I love it I may read it 3 times!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving over the Chesapeake which was the most amazing thing I have done, easily...

Teach, Learn, Share

I said I am a "beginner" in Italian because I have forgotten so much..but I would love to do a language exchange to refresh my language skills..when I left Sicily 3 years ago I was nearly fluent, and since then have not been able to maintain my skills.

I would be happy to teach english in exchange for italian lessons!
