About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to float around the world until some place feels right

ABOUT ME

After years and years in school, I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. So, I've decided to explore the world, meeting as many people and learning as much about other cultures as I can before I eventually settle into "real life" (whatever that is). I'm dedicated to finding and exploring things I'm passionate about and discovering small ways to make the world a better place.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you love and do it well. And if you don't love it anymore, do something else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I surf, but hopefully will be able to host soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Cairo, and it was a great way to experience the city for the first time.

Interests

reading, writing, language, laughing, traveling, cooking, eating, meeting new people. Really, I love anything and anyone that gives me a new perspective on the world and challenges me to be better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had amazing opportunities in the last few years, and every day I'm incredibly thankful for them. I spent three weeks on the Gulf Coast, helping to rebuild houses after Hurricane Katrina, and I met some of the kindest and strongest people in my time there. I spent last summer living in rural Thailand, close to the Burmese border, and everyone there was so welcoming and had such powerful stories to tell. And this summer, I was able to begin to explore all the beautiful parts of Jordan, from Jaresh to Wadi Hasi to Wadi Rum. Sitting on a dune in the middle of Wadi Rum presented one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach & Learn: Language. Cooking. I love food and think that sharing a meal is one of the best ways to share culture and experience. I'm a pretty good cook (and baker!) myself, but love trying new foods and learning how to make them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Egypt, France, Greece, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Jordan, Thailand, United States
