ABOUT ME

I love to be active and explore I'm the type of person who gets along with just about anybody I love learning about people. I currently live in Efland NC in a tiny house I built myself. I am a builder and an artist - my primary art is photography.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed my way around Europe for the Summer of 2013. Hosted a couple people at my place in Charlottesville in 2014. I drove across the USA three times in 2014 meeting fantastic people along the way. Once my second tiny house is done I hope to start hosting again.

I travel with a focus on climbing destinations and explore hot springs, waterfalls, quaint little towns, and anything else I find along the way. I have 12+ years of experience riding/working with horses. I have a tiny little dog, and a pup. The pup travels with me, she’s a sweet mushy love of a canine. I love animals(if you couldn't tell) and spending time outside in any scenario. I am also into healthy eating, I love to cook! I do yoga most weeks, and I dance - tango is my favorite.

I love most music, some of my favorite artists are more folky or bluesy but I can jam to hip hop EDM and rap too, I try to be open to anything. I like just about any good movie, not a huge fan of lots of gore or really cheesy chick flicks. I like to read books that help me either escape from reality, or learn more about something that interests me. I generally prefer reading or good conversation to television.

Jumping off of The Monkey Swing at Smith Rock, Deep Water Soloing in Thailand, sliding down the hills of Connemara, and getting lost on a mountain in the Alps, Driving to and from Mexico winter of 2015.

I have climbed semi professionally and I am always happy to share my knowledge and teach others. I practice yoga, have some knowledge of holistic health practices, and I have trained dogs and horses for most of my life. I love spreading information and teaching others if they're interested! I am currently interested in learning more about core energetics, somatic healing, herbalism, foraging, and hunting and fishing.

I can tell you stories of beautiful mountains, ragged cliff lines, beating swells, and the whispers of the wind. I can teach you to rock climb, accompany you on hikes, take you dancing, explore your town with you, or we can go somewhere new together! I also love to cook and am always happy to make a meal for you or with you. I bake some fun things when I have oven access.
