CURRENT MISSION
Waiting for spring in Cracow!
ABOUT ME
Hi,
I returned from my travel to Australia and New Zealand. I work as a court interpreter and as a tour guide, I recently qualified as a National Tour Guide. I come from a Polish family, and I grew up in Austria, that's why I am bilingual, which led me to my current job. I live in Dublin since 8 years, love it, that's why I'm into tour guiding. I love meeting new people from all age groups and cultural backgrounds.
PHILOSOPHY
I feel that even if we are happy, grounded, with close friends and families, we should open our little circle to others...I enjoy travelling more and more, and learning new languages...
I volunteered for homeless people (crosscare dublin), poetry readings, Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures and for the Dublin Theatre Festival. I like to be involved in the community and organise events.
I met amazing people through various activities and hope to be able to give back the generousity I experienced.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had an amazing CS experience on my first solo travel down under! I would like to thank my hosts in Sydney and Christchurch(references below) for being so giving and open to an at that time brand new member! You made my first couchsurfing days such a positive and safe experience! hosted people in Dublin on my return in March (Paddy's Day!!! CS events). Also organised and attended events: pub crawl, mountain hike, sightseeing, rock and jazz gigs with other CSers etc.
I can give you travel hints about Europe, and especially the cities I lived in: Poznan, Vienna, Warsaw, Krakow (Cracow), Dublin (tour guide here). + I really like Eastern Europe, especially the Balkan, my other favourite countries are France (briefly lived in Dijon) and Spain.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I travelled a lot within Europe and I had very positive experiences with hitchhiking. I don't have a car, so could not give that back, but I tried to help fellow travellers by hosting friends of friends and their siblings, I am a welcoming person and I love to show people hidden corners of my city as well as main sights - never get tired of it! 1 month ago I hosted a dinner party and my friend brought a couchsurfer with her! they told me about this great idea, I surfed a few couches, hosted a few travallers and here I am, a CS devotee!
