Hello :) My name is Celine and I grew up in a peaceful and quiet town in Maryland located just next to Washington DC (yes, where the president lives!).

I'm an animal loving vegan! 💚💚 I'm an even bigger fan of our lovely earth and would just love to be outside in a rainforest or beach for days with the company of people or a lovely host! I love to engage in active yoga in the mornings and try to meditate to create a balance at night. Whereas I'm also a huge huge music festival goer where I've been to events such as Coachella, Electric Forest, EDCLV, Ultra, etc! i find it amazing how the power of music can bring thousands of people together.

Right now I'm seeking to travel the world (affordably) and keeping an open mind about the future. I just finished an internship in Melbourne, Australia for 2 months and it has truly opened my eyes to the world in a whole new perspective.
Taking the opportunity of a gap year to really immerse myself with different cultures and render the kindness of others. My year off is to really find myself and to find guidance as to what to do for the upcoming year. Hopefully meeting new people in another world can help open up my eyes as to deciding what to do and accomplish with my life. Everyone asks me, "what do I want to be when I grow up?" and I tell them, "Happy".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard great things and even greater experiences from friends and family that have been part of the couch surfing community so I'm extremely excited and eager to jump in.
I'm also looking to hear stories and personal experiences with my hosts in hopes that they can pass on their wisdom and inspirations to me.

Books: The Alchemist, A farewell to Arms, Brave New World, Doors of Perspective, Lolita, Subliminal, Artistotle- Metaphysics, Vice, Animal Farm, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Atonement, 1984 (& all of Orwells books), Lord of the Flies, Catcher in the Rye... I think you can see I love the American classics and Philosophy!

Music: (variety!) Jazz, EDM, Rock, Rasta, Techno, Drum & Bass, French House, Selective Blues. Im extremely interested in music genre and taste so when people play me their favorite album or song, I love to listen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I know that thousands of people have done this but its amazing to me that I went skydiving in Cairns, Australia :)
I'm extremely scared of heights and it was extraordinary that i pushed past that. I want to go again, one day!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I find that the most important things to remember is to always be grateful, kind, selfless, and open. I believe that with the Couchsurfing community, that I should always give back in any manner that I can to my hosts. If thats helping them clean, walking or feeding their pet(s), running errands, babysitting, cooking dinners together, pitch in for gas/groceries and/or taking responsible action in order to make hosts feel just as comfortable and gracious as they've made me feel by merely opening their homes to me. I'd love to give a momentum from my home, share with them my take on spirituality, or take part in any of their interests.
