Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keeping life simple, exploring concepts of life, and taking once-in-a-lifetime chances.
ABOUT ME
Life's what you make of it. So I try to be spontaneous, open-minded and emotional as much as possible, organized and realistic only as much as necessary. :) Having a positive attitute towards life is pretty important to me, I don't take it too seriously and can laugh about almost everything (especially about myself!) ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Thoughts create reality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Thanks to couchsurfing I have met and get to meet amazing human beings all around the world. We usually meet as strangers and part ways as really good friends who I enjoy keeping touch with and usually do! :) To me, couchsurfing is more of a life style rather than a hobby. I find it very addictive since there is always something new that you can learn from someone, which I appreciate that a lot. :)
Interests
I love the great outdoors and spending time outside. I have a passion for all kinds of sports, especially cycling, hiking, and diving. I also love trying new things regularly, I figured the learning curve is quite steep initially when you start something new. :D
Food! Vietnamese soups, Indian currys, German spätzle, Turkish gözleme, Iranian khoresht, Egyptian koshary, ..
Also, I like taking pictures of everyday situations rather than tourist attractions while travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - My taste in music varies a lot and really depends on my mood. If there's someone sitting on the piano/with a guitar by the fire and singing - I will definitely like it! :) If I'm going out or need to focus I prefer electronic music. Lyrics are usually more important to me than the sound of it though.
Books - Currently I enjoy reading documentary-style books written by travellers.
Movies - Anything but horror with a pitch of humor and an unpredictable plot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Long distance cycling and solo travelling generally is always an amazing experience to me that grounds me a lot. Same applies to diving and interactions with marine wildlife.
Caring about living beings and trying to make them happy.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - I love diving and know a lot about it due to my dive master education. And I can fix a lot on a bicycle and show you how to do that.
Learn - I'm super curious about different concepts of life in different countries. Also, I'd love to learn at least some words from different languages, would love to know how to cook an easy traditional meal of the country I visit and love to get to know places locals enjoy going. Guess that's pretty standard for a couchsurfer. :D Apart from that I'm very interested in ocean conservatory, so if you know anything about that, I'd love to learn. :)
Share - any kind of experiences, good and bad, and knowledge about places, cultures, countries,.. Also, of course, food, coffee, etc., basically anything I have at home. :)
