Overview
About Me
My name is Cera and I am a student at Appalachian State, but I am a huge Clemson fan so go tigers! (sorry App, I still love you) I am studying Special Education and am graduating soon and moving to Chicago to be a Special Education teacher. For the last part of my studies I am studying abroad in Ireland to learn about international education systems! I am looking forward to traveling about Europe throughout my study abroad!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because I have heard it is a really unique and cool way to travel throughout Europe. I want to be sure to have as many unique experiences as possible throughout my travels and meeting local people seems the best way to do that and actually immerse myself within various countries! Also, I am a University student and am looking to travel fairly reasonably. Let me know if you have any questions!
Interests
As a Special Education major, I love working with children, especially those with disabilities. I am a huge sports fan, particularly American football. Go Tigers and Go Panthers! I love to read, my favorite author is JK Rowling as I grew up reading the Harry Potter series with my mom. I am pretty adventurous and love to try new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a massive One Direction fan (no judgement please! (: ) I also enjoy more folksy music as I am from the mountains of North Carolina. Mumford and Sons and Needtobreathe are some of my favorites! I am not a huge movie-watcher, but I definitely can appreciate a good film. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, and the Cormoran Strike books- both by JK Rowling although the latter are under her pseudonym Robert Strike. Definitely look the series up if you were a HP fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a teacher, my students are constantly roping me into doing odd things. I once participated in donkey basketball in which I had to ride a donkey in a gymnasium and play a game of basketball while my students mercilessly laughed at my misfortune of trying to get my donkey to move and not run away from me. While this is one of the more interesting things I've done, I also have been skydiving which is one of the most amazing and gorgeously breathtaking things I have ever done!
