About Me
I like to describe myself as a "citizen of the world" but I'm actually a citizen of three different countries (so far).
* I was born in Brazil, where I lived until my early 20s
* I have Portuguese blood as my dad is from Portugal
* I recently got British citizenship, as I've been living in the UK for the past 9 years
* I'm now aiming to get a 4th citizenship by moving to Australia and living there for a few years
A friend has previously described me as "enemy of the comfort zone" I love challenging myself, always going somewhere new, where I know no one and starting all over, building a new life from the ground, up. I don't see myself ever creating roots and settling somewhere. It would be the death of my wanderer soul
PHILOSOPHY
"Nobody is so smart that has nothing to learn, or so stupid that has nothing to teach." --- I truly believe we can all learn something new from each other, and finding out what each person can add to our own lives is always an exciting endeavor.
"Find joy and fulfillement in every new experience, no matter how trying it may be." --- Maintaining a positive outlook even during hard times will often make things go smoother, which can be a good way of maintaining sanity, haha. But also, whenever we are too stressed and bothered, it's too easy to miss the beauty that happens around us, take a deep breath, and look around, there's so much that's worth our appreciation.
"Everyone deserves a little wanderlust" --- We all should treat ourselves to new experiences, new environments, and new people every once in a while.
"Nothing is forever, except change" --- I saw that in a Buddhist temple in Busan, and it really hit home to me. Humans should learn to embrace change a bit better, rather than fearing it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm an enthusiastic traveller, eager to meet other CSers from around the world and get to know more of this amazing community with many like-minded world explorers, nomads, and helpful welcoming people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While CSing I had many good and weird experiences, but I wouldn't change a thing about it. I like to couchsurf nearly every time I travel as it has proven to be the best way to meet the most amazing people.
Interests
I'm interested in hearing all about your passions and usually happy to engage in the activities you like to enjoy in your free time.
Being out in nature is always great (weather dependent)
Learning about new/local food and cooking techniques is a passion of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books
As an experimentalist and art lover, I welcome everything that I still don't know. Indepentent/experimental/weird/creative media is what I like the most so if you know of anything that's very local, unique, niche, or just not well known, please share as I will love to learn more about it!
Some of my favourites include:
Books:
"No Exit - Jean Paul Sartre"
"A Night in the Tavern - Álvares de Azevedo"
Movies:
Leon - The Professional
Into the Wild
Perfect Sense
Music: I am fairly eclectic but usually lean towards rock, metal, industrial, and alternative songs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving my home country to backpack around Europe was the most amazing thing ever. It was my first experience abroad and every moment was unique and special. On this trip I couchsurfed and hitchhiked for the first time and since then I want all my trips to be as perfect as this one.
Some other amazing things include:
Hiking to the top of the Snowdon in Snowdonia-Wales
Hiking to the top of Ben Nevis in Scotland
Parachute jumping in Brazil
Losing mysef in the middle of frozen hills in Iceland while trying to find one of the GoT scenario
Going to the venetian carnival
Being attacked by monkeys in the monkey temple in Thailand
Visiting the maze-like bar and hotel in Dalat, Vietnam
Camping at the top of Phu Chi Fa mountain in Laos to see the sunset and the sun rise
...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a bit of Portuguese, help you practice your English, and how to make some vegan food.
I would love to try cooking something new together and try different techniques.
I want to learn some of the skills you have and would like to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share my time with every couchsurfer I meet so we can learn more about each other. I'm also up for sharing some vegan cooking skills;
