All you need is LOVE, love is all you need. People should read more books. Travel broadens the mind (and the waistline). I'll try most things at least once (and probably again if they don't do any harm). TV sucks, makes you passive and is such a waste of time. Freedom is just another word for 'nothing left to lose'. A good sense of humor will get you through the tough times. I'll sleep when I die.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I HOST: I offer bed, blankets, shower and talk! I do my best to entertain, sometimes I feel like cooking as well :o) If you're staying somewhere else, I'll try to meet you anyway, cos I love meeting new people and having some beer and chatting.
I SURF: I offer to cook, do the dishes, walk the dog, and help in any other possible way :o) If we can go places and do things together, I will love it. But I am very independent and I'll be just fine if I'm left on my own as well. Oh, I usually end up going for hosts who have pets!
I'LL MEET PEOPLE and take them sightseeing whenever I have a free moment.
And the WEEKLY MEET-UP! :o)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some hosting, 3 months of surfing in the US, CS meetings everywhere, LOTS of amazing people... Really positive, so far! Interesting people and great "life exchange".
I count on CS to expand the way I see the world and its inhabitants. It's working! "I'M EXCITED" kind of expresses how I feel :-)

The meeting of rivers Solimões and Negro where they form the Amazon.
The first inauguration of Barack Obama.
Seeing snow for the very first time in Germany in 1993.
Sharing a car ride crossing 3 states with a guy I found on craigslist.
AAAAAND you know that red inflatable couch that some people are throwing, in a photo on the home page? I have actually sat on it :o) [It's not there anymore... They've changed the home page design :-/ But it was at the CS headquarters in Berkeley, CA. Sooo much fun :o) ]

I've learnt that you have a better time when surfing when you read your host's profile thoroughly. It's much nicer when you find people with common interests and with whom you really connect when exchanging messages prior to the surfing experience!
I can teach you English, and how to make a mean pesto pasta :P
