About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I vow to one day learn how to wear white without spilling something on it.

ABOUT ME

I'm a writer and playwright who has traveled the world with just my backpack and an adventurous spirit! I love meeting new people, exploring, experiencing new things, and I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie! I love my bike! I can say the alphabet backwards in English and in French in under 10 seconds (time me)!

I'm passionate about politics and love engaging people in thoughtful conversations!

2017 UPDATE: I was interviewed by a French TV station here in Toronto about my strange collection of old love letters. The interview is completely in French but I think you'll be able to get the gist of it even if you don't speak French! Watch the entire segment here! - https://youtu.be/A0nr3UZOMKw

PHILOSOPHY

"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." -Mae West

"Fear is temporary. Regret is forever."

"Travelers who expect every country they visit to resemble their own had better stay home."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a surfer. I hope to someday be a host, but at present, my situation just doesn't afford it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a CouchSurfing graduate! I've Couchsurfed in New York, Vancouver, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, and The Netherlands, and I had nothing but amazing experiences! My hosts were kind and generous and very accommodating. I couldn't have asked for more!

Interests

I like biting the heads off live chickens, opening beer bottles with my toes, counting what's left of my teeth, the tractor pull, polishing my knife collection for fun, and keeping people chained up in my basement.

Teach, Learn, Share

Please remember that while I am open to meeting everyone and anyone, I am also a solo woman traveller and as such, the need to maintain my safety is of the utmost importance! Some of the messages I've been receiving on here have screamed RED FLAG or INAPPROPRIATE or even just made me feel uncomfortable.

However, I know for a fact that just a small minority is doing this, and I know most Couchsurfing members are awesome and totally cool!

So I would like to put it out there, officially, that I am only interested in making travel FRIENDS, and I hope everyone can respect and appreciate that!

(And if you're using Couchsurfing for dating or otherwise, then please, look elsewhere. You got the wrong woman.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to throw in a dish to earn my keep! I can make a mean Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie with lentils & rosemary, Halloumi & Courgette cakes with fresh mint and coriander, and my Blueberry & Crunchy Granola muffins truly are food for the Gods!
