ABOUT ME

Just transplanted from South Carolina to Honolulu. I'm a warm person in a warm place, looking for new friends...and finding a job! In the meantime, I love practicing my down home ex-vegetarian cooking and hiking like a true weekend warrior. I've been seriously oogling these blue blue waters all around.

ANYWAY. As a post-English major, I work in libraries but read fewer books than I would like to brag; spend too much time pop culture binging and lounging on my delicious lanai. Le sigh, can't say it's a hard life.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we can expand our experiences so much by being open to meeting different people-- we can't all do it all ourselves, so why not learn from each other?

I'm always down to take visitors out to a local show or for a drink, even if my couch is not the exact couch of the hosting. Honolulu is new to me, but I'm always looking to make a positive connection, so get in touch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

UM WELL I keep meaning to do more on here, and my personal profile doesn't evidence much in the way of participation. Buuuut throughout years and years in large and rambling households and duplexes, I've found many good acquaintances and friends through CouchSurfing. I've also hosted other travelers from the world over through other venues, and appreciated the kindness of new acquaintances in my travels.

I'm macrame-ing lately and usually have some craft project or another around. Sketch a post card! More fun than buying!

I can make biscuits and gravy like a good Southern gal. And Tex Mex everything!
