ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student at UC Berkeley, doing my PhD in Sociology. Yemeni-American. I'm not the loudest person in the world, but not shy. I love learning about people's lives; in fact, I love it so much I've made it my profession!

Interests

I've been salsa dancing for about five years, and go as often as I can. I play a lot of basketball, watch a lot of movies, read a lot of books and listen to a lot of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I stepped out of the airport in Ho Chi Minh City. I was 18, I had never really travelled before. It was like stepping into a different universe.

The night I spent car-camping in Monument Valley in Utah. It was as if I had gone back 300 years for a night.
