Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of Couchsurfing for interpersonal and community experience. Interpersonal experiences in the opportunity to meet and learn from another unique individual. It's a great thing to share someone's life for a few days and possibly build a connection that can last a lifetime. As well, being able to immerse oneself in the community. Meeting and living with a knowledgeable member of a city, village, or group of friends ALWAYS trumps an empty hotel room!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, on a dark and dreary night I stood in a room surrounded by friends as they bespectacled a feat not easily completed by mere mortal men. As they fervently watched, I raised one hand to my head, the other to my gut, and began patting the former while simultaneously rubbing the latter. Yes, indeed. That night I was able to pat my head and rub my belly at the same time...and it was amazing.

I can share and would like to learn of other's life experiences. Just plain, chill, relaxed conversation. This is where I find the greatest amount of education and inspiration.

What I Can Share with Hosts

With a background in geology we can go to any landscape, see any rock, and interpret its geologic history. Flat, sharp, sandy, greasy, shiny, folded, molten, cubic, rusted, vibrant..all landscapes and rocks/minerals tell a unique story of our past, present, and future.
