ABOUT ME

I am most happy when enjoying the company of chatty people, learning something interesting, or journeying. I do not mind a drink or two, love being outside enjoying both the forest and oceans, and always look forward to good vegan food (yes, lots of yummy food is vegan :-).

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness comes from within, not from trinkets or following a script for life.

Live. Tomorrow is just a concept and Future is just a word.

Be good to your friends, every animal you meet, and random strangers.

When the student is ready, the teacher will come.

The greatest things to learn from travel are about yourself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some fantastic people and been shown lots of wonderful things. Exploring a new area with an old hand that wants to show you their backyard is beyond anything money can buy.

Música, películas y libros

Movies: I will give anything a go, depending on mood. Although, I am a bit squeamish when it come to excessive blood and gore.

Music : I can listen to almost anything. Well, anything but repetitive pop.

Books: A few of my favourite books ... Catch-22, Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, Life the Universe and Everything, So Long Thanks For All Fish, Hyperion, To Kill A Mockingbird, Encyclopedia of World History, The lonely Planet

I have done and seen many incredible things, but the most memorable would be when I helped return a pod of whales to the sea after they had beached themselves on King Island, Tasmania, Australia.

I can teach you about programing / web page development using Java (Software developer in a previous life), using Linux (many years using Ubuntu), English (CELTA Certified), Spanish (B2/Intermediate), and anything you want to know about a vegetarian/vegan diet (30/10yrs). I can also help with information about SCUBA diving (PADI Divemaster).
