ABOUT ME

I've lived many lives as I've grown and changed over time. I was the singer in a punk/performance art band. I've made claymation/animated films and videos. I've started to get more involved in drawing and setting narratives in graphic novel form. And I've tried to travel as often as I can. I love meeting new people. Especially people with a passion for life. That's something I try to keep fresh: my passion for life. You have to work at it everyday. Don't ever give up.

I just discovered this project and think it's great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only when I was a roadie for bad punk bands over the last few years. I promise not to drink as much as I did back then, mainly because I would die if I drank as much as I used to.

Intereses

Music, noise, film, animation, motorcycles, cartoons, graphic novels, powerpop music, heavy metal in all it's incarnations, drinking, eating, living life to the hilt.

Luis Bunuel, the Marx Brothers, and Slayer (music group) are personal heros of mine. Also love Godard (sometimes) musicals (always) and Love and Rockets (the band and the comic book)

I like talking/screaming in front of crowds and I've done a lot of that in the past. I've finally started to become proud of the short films I've made. You can see some at www.youtube.com/chadsimmons

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I'm most knowledgeable about things that may be hard to teach on the road: stagecraft, film making, perfomance art. But I'm starting to get better at drawing and illustration. I want to learn more about drawing, and I think I've learned some tricks that I can share. But not many!
