ABOUT ME

After having brief careers at a few establishments I realized that a formal 8 to 5 job is never going to work for me. I seem to easily get bored if I have to end up doing the same thing day by day.

After leaving my last employer i started working part time as a qualitative moderator at a leading Market research company and found it really interesting to meet different people from different backgrounds and having a glimpse of the way they live and think. It has made me realize the value of respecting the diversity we all have among each other.
Though I haven't yet been away from the island yet, i always love travelling whenever I get a chance. I equally enjoy both travelling with friends and alone my self, it depends according to the situation.

Finally I hope to start doing some work in the travel industry and see from there. the balance and quality of life is What I am after. Life is too short and i believe having a balanced life style is the key for much needed happiness.

PHILOSOPHY

The happiness through money, fame or power is too temporary. Every conditioned thing: subject to change. Some realistic understanding of this helps create a well balanced and simple life. I wanna feel that i live.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I study and work part time in Colombo. I am staying at a friends place where I have a just a single room. So I wont be able to host someone at present. But I would love to host and assist interesting people once i get properly established in the town (which i hope will be in the near future).

So for the time being I would be happy to meet up for a coffee or a drink or travel together during free times.

I am becoming more active in the post card club with my newly started UNESCO World Heritage sites collection.
