We are warm-hearted, open-minded, down-to-earth people who love wild nature, creativity, music and having meaningful conversations.

Emil is 36 and was born in Denmark, I'm 42 and was born in Namibia. I've lived in Cape Town (South Africa) for 18 years and my parents and grandparents were born there, so it also feels like home to me.
Home is a broad concept... let's talk more about that!

Emil and I met while building an art project for AfrikaBurn, and after living together in Cape Town, we moved to arctic Norway for a few months and then to Denmark, where Iris Skye was born.

We live in a co-living community where people have their own homes but share communal spaces and chores. We eat together 4 times a week (voluntarily) and spontaneous help, collaboration, conversation and play are an every day experience :)

As far as possible we eat healthy, balanced meals. As a family we eat meat once a week and fish twice a week, but we can also eat exclusively vegetarian or vegan when we are with people who would prefer that.

We love connecting with people and also taking breaks to have quality family time or relax our bodies and minds. We don't get drunk, we are non-smokers, and we are respectful of other people's space.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Became a first-time parent shortly after emigrating, in the middle of a career change and global pandemic, with friends and family on the other side of the planet. WILD RIDE.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can cook and clean and help with chores.
In southern Africa we love to grill food outside, so we'd be happy to grill for you :)

We can share what we know about life and traveling in Namibia, South Africa, Norway and Denmark.

I can give photography tips.

Emil can play the guitar and saxophone, I play the piano by ear, and we all like to sing and dance :)
