My name is Chanel- Yes like the brand! I'm a girl that loves traveling! I've been to more than 30 countries and counting! I grew up in Southern California,but a few years ago,I followed my passion and moved to Europe and I haven't regretted it since. I work as an English teacher in Madrid, Spain and I am loving every second of it. Traveling has been a way for me to open my eyes and see how other people live. I love to meet other people and what's the best way other than staying with locals? Despite the fact that I have had an account on couchsurfing since 2013, I have only used it once and it was under my sister's account. I'm ready to get out of my shell and learn to travel and couchsurf by myself :)

My favorite thing in the world is traveling. There's a quote that traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. I know, I know, so cliche but it so true. My second most favorite thing to do is cook. I actually find it quite relaxing.Might be the worst person in the world to ask about restaurant recommendations because I prefer to cook but my friends always give me great recommendations. You should see the things I can make with chicken breast hahah.

Moving to Europe. Yes, seriously. I was never able to study abroad in college so after college and working a few years, I made the leap to move to Madrid.It was the scariest thing I'd ever done in my life. Imagine one day moving to a country where you know no one and you don't speak the language. Terrifying. I am still so proud of myself til this day.
