One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A wonderful trip I recently made was to return to my ancestral village in China where my ancestors have lived for over 20-25 generations (that's over 700 years!).

My grandfather was born there as the eldest child in the family in 1920. At the age of 15, he left the village with nothing much in his pocket and sailed to Malaya so as to earn money to support the family back home. Then came the war and with Malaya's fear of the communists, he was not allowed to return home until 1961...26 years after leaving the village..

My grandfather passed away in 1992 - way too early for me to know him well enough or to hear/remember his stories...nonetheless this trip was an amazing one for me and something I am very glad I made!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about writing CVs/Cover Letters/handling interviews etc and also give you insight into entering the fascinating world of investment banking! (I wrote this 2 years ago - probably not so relevant in this day and age where bankers are looked down upon :p)

-----------------------------

I used to attend a missionary school and a wise brother once told me the 3 rules of story telling :-

1. All stories are true.
2. All stories happened at some point in time
3. All stories are about you and me...

So tell me your stories and hopefully I can share mine too... :)
