Overview
About Me
I grew up in North Carolina so I love bluegrass and biscuits but never felt more at home than I do in NYC. As a kid, I spent summers in Budapest, Hungary where I have family and still visit frequently. On any given weekday I'm at a tech event, working on a side project, out to dinner with friends, hanging with my sister or binge watching netflix. Weekends I'm at a museum, in the park, at a low-key concert, biking/hiking/outdoors, or taking a class -- and I'm always around for Sunday brunch.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be heading to Barcelona and London (then WeWork Summer Camp) for the first time this August! I prefer local experiences over touristy ones and love meeting new people. On the flip-side, I often show visitors local New York so I can tell you all the good restaurants and recommend things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I love almost any live music. Really enjoy Sofar Sounds concerts. Would love to check one out when I travel to Europe this fall.
Movies - Usually thought-provoking films, comedies, or classics like Harry Potter
Books - The Alchemist, The Art of Racing in the Rain, The Know It All, and Creative Confidence are a few of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've taken trapeze classes!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always open to new experiences and ideas. For me, traveling is about immersing myself in different cultures, traditions, and local life. I want to learn about yours!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I used to be part of an online community called Daring Bakers. For over a year I participated in a monthly challenge and kept a blog about it. So I can make a lot of delicious desserts. I mastered chocolate cake - bonus: I can make it regular, paleo or gluten-free. I can also make puff pastry, a good blueberry tart and tiramisu cake to name a few. Otherwise, I'm pretty well connected to the NYC tech scene so if that's something you're looking to explore, happy to chat!
