Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a handful of travelers from Couchsurfing over the past few years since I joined, but I have yet to be a couchsurfing traveler! Having been somewhat of a gypsy myself for a number of years, I can appreciate the beauty of a safe, comfy place to rest. I love that there is a community like this that allows like-minded individuals to connect and help each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled across Mexico, over the course of a month or so, from Veracruz to Puerto Vallarta by bus, stopping at all kinds of crazy cool places along the way. Ended up camping on the beach in Punta de Mita, Nayarit for a few weeks. Our "neighbors" were fishermen who shared their daily catch with us and we ate the most delicious fresh fish cooked over an open fire every morning. I can honestly say that floating in a hammock there, suspended between coconut palms, is the most relaxed I've ever been IN my life!
