Hi,

My name is Charles, I'm 21 and I come from Vincennes, which is a beautiful city right next to Paris. I'm studying in a famous French business school called HEC Paris but my real love goes to the study of mathematics in all its forms.

I just got admitted to 42 school of computer science, in Paris and I'm on a journey with friends to get to the bottom of an algorithm I have designed to solve NP-complete problems in polynomial time.

This summer I'm taking some time with my friend Victor in Japan to experience Japanese culture for the first time in our lives. We try our best to find balance between visiting big cities, doing natural explorations in the wilderness, and exposing ourselves to the spiritual life of this magnificent country.

So far we have not been disappointed, and If you wish to help us on our journey to discovering ourselves through the study of Japan, we'll be glad to share some of our experiences with you :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been doing mathematical research since the age of 16. It all started as a way to express myself out of a school system in which creativity is not valuable. Eventually, after writing countless of meaningless sheets of paper, I got good at it, and managed to pass all the mathematical exams with maximal grade after two years of study to get to HEC Paris. I discovered that business school will be preparing me for a life I don't want, and found refuge once again in the study of maths. Eventually, my journey led me to the selection pool of 42 school of computer science. I finished 7 out of 600 students, although I have never had any programming classes before that. The more I learn, the more I see myself becoming what I truly want to be, a wanderer of the world, able to live on his ideas. I hope this will be the great journey of my life.
