About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get round the world in just over 80 days

ABOUT ME

I'm completely new to this but I'm travelling to Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, across the USA and then to Japan. I'd love to meet some exciting new people who can show me what mischief is to be had in their home town. If there's a couch to surf on that's even better!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything except horror - the last three films I saw at the cinema were Inside Llewyn Davis, Wolf of Wall Street and 12 Years a Slave. If I had to pick just one film forever it would be Notting Hill.

Music: Again I like a diverse range. I listen to a lot of what I suppose is called 'alternative' music - Alt J; Bastille; Clean Bandit; the 1975 etc but I also like a banging classic - from Percy Sledge to Phil Collins. I like electo/ deep house/ EDM in the right context (something mellow when I want to relax or else something to get me dancing).

Books: Travel is giving me the time to read all the books I'd always meant to but never had so I'm tending to read only "big names" at the moment. My favourite book ever is The Count of Monte Christo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent time playing Polo in Argentina
Watched the sun set from Sugar Loaf Mountain
Hang glided over Rio
Scuba dived with turtles in Ilha Grande

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook and although I'm keen to eat out mostly (I can eat my own food when I'm at home) I'm happy to cook a bit. If anyone wanted to have a dinner party with their friends I'd happily cook for that as it'd be a great way to meet a group of ppl.

By way of a slightly more outré skill - I studied Ancient Greek and Latin at university so if anyone wants an hour's free tuition in that (or help with a philosophy/ history essay) in exchange for somewhere to sleep I could work with that!
