Hi!!!

So, I am born and bred British :-), but am working in Oregon, USA, for the next few months. I would like to make the most of the beautiful local area in my free time and if I am lucky, do some travelling further afield.

Having moved out here on my own, random conversations with strangers have not only given me awesome tips on what to do while here, but also been introductions to new friends I would never have got to meet otherwise. :-)

I don't like to be corny, nor have I sat down and thought about it long enough to have a definitive life moto, but I don't think you can go wrong with "live and let live", beside the obvious it leads you to think of "Live and let die", the bond film with the best theme tune, anyway I digress...

I enjoy the typical tourist sights, but what I appreciate way more is seeing life off the beaten track and the real cultures of the places I am lucky enough to visit. I have traveled where I can in life so far, but there is always room for more!!! It is something I hope I will never stop wanting to do, as from my point of view, it doesn't just build your experience bank but keeps the old mind ticking over and open too.

If our paths cross on my travels... I am looking forward to it!!! :-) I hope you might too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I might be content in my own company ;-), which I think is a good trait.... but experiences are better shared! One of the best ways to see the true gems of a place is with the help of a kind local, and it is topped off by leaving the experience having met someone new. This world is getting smaller and you never knew who you will bump into again!

Interests

Current:
Field hockey, softball, stand up paddle boarding, volley ball, hiking(especially to a good view), music (there is a time and a place for everything...just don't particularly gel with pan pipes though :-P), reading (love a good adventure story), thai boxing, jewelry making....

Future:
Well...horse riding again, white water rafting, relearning french, climbing, dress making, pretty much anything I am lucky enough to encounter. :-)
