ABOUT ME

I live in Austin, Texas and I am one of the owners of a small video company here.

Traveling is my obsession and I'm always trying to find a new place to go. I love meeting new people in their own towns and learning about how they live.

My biggest passion is filmmaking as I have created a hobby and career around it. But aside from that I love to run, hike, and go out to bars and restaurants.

PHILOSOPHY

The world can kind of suck sometimes so I'm looking to find the happiness and peace in the world and share them with all the friends I make in the process.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveled to Germany, Austria, and Czech Republic January 2014. More travels to come.

I live near downtown Austin, TX and can host weary travelers in my apartment.

I'm a big movie buff and love to talk about old movies and the new greats.

Big movie fan. Love all the classics and the new auteurs: Tarantino, PT Anderson, Spike Jonze, and more. Also love to see the new indie work from around the world. Mexican and South American cinema is some of my favorite.

I can get into just about any music, but some top choices: Brand New, We Were Promised Jet Packs, and Manchester Orchestra.

Really love American literature like Updike, Vonnegut, Hemingway, Bukowski, etc.

Hiked the German alps with my dad this January. Pretty amazing.

I would also love to just see what kinds of artistic things people do for themselves in other places. I'm always down to read a friend's short story or check out their painting or music.

I've lived all around America in a Navy family so I have lots of experience with the different little cultures we have in different parts of the country. I'm sure a lot of people are familiar with our culture over here, but if there's anything you might be interested in then let's talk!
