ABOUT ME

I am a freelance literary translator of Spanish and French into English. The nature of my work means I can work anywhere, I am location-independent and I am a full-time house and petsitter. I love living in other people's homes, taking care of their pets while they are away. This has mostly been in the UK up to now, although I have done some sits in other countries. I am always looking for new and interesting ways to have new experiences, and explore the world while saving money and still pursuing my literary translation career.

I love travelling and have been to India, USA, Hong Kong, South Africa, Scandinavia and all around Europe. I still have so many countries I want to visit... The world is so massive and beautiful.

I am a great house guest, am incredibly conscientious and tidy, being a full time house sitter, I am so respectful of people's spaces and belongings.
I love to cook with people, to have a drink and chat rubbish or serious things, sing songs, listen to good tunes, watch a film. If you've got cats, dogs or animals, even better :)

Life is too short to worry about the little things.

I want to meet some awesome people in awesome places. It's always nicer to share experiences with people rather than being a lone tourist.
I like the idea of having a friendly face to show you around a new place, rather than just following googlemaps about on your own, feeling like an outsider.
