About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm from Houston, Texas. I just graduated from from college where I studied philosophy. I love to travel, to talk to interesting people, to read, to learn, and so on. I like to think I'm an easy going guy.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind. Be open. Try to understand rather than judge. Learn new and interesting things. Food you cook yourself tastes better. Never spoil Game of Thrones.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hopefully as a surfer for now, and eventually a host when I have my own place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet. I have a few friends who couchsurfed around both Europe and South East Asia who had great experiences with it and who encouraged me to give it a go.
Interests
I love to try to cook delicious food (though I frequently fail), I love to read, to talk, to sing, to draw, to waterski, and to play board games. And I'm really good at Super Smash Bros for N64.
I'm interested in philosophy of any sort, religions, fantasy novels, dogs, good tv, cartoons, the Houston Texans, fantasy football, and whatever I happen to be reading about on Wikipedia at the time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
The Lego Movie, Up, a lot of documentaries, a lot of other movies I'm blanking on
Music:
I'll listen to most anything. I like soundtracks. Flight of the Conchords. Terrible electronica. Musicals. Songs without words.
Books:
Robert Jordan, Asimov, Terry Pratchett, Camus, George R R Martin, and many more that I can't think of at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing wild mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always happy to talk about philosophy, but I'd say I have much more to learn than to teach.
I'd love to learn new languages and how to cook new cuisines.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can do dishes, I can be a good board game partner, I have a ukulele that I can't play very well or I can sing if you want to have a jam session, and I can try to cook for you (no guarantees...). I can probably share other things to but I'm not sure just yet what I have to offer – I'm open to requests.
