I am 23, English-born but now living in Scotland - my heart is torn between the two. I studied languages and hope to make a career of teaching and translating that will somehow allow me time to travel, write and fulfil my ambitions of saving the food system. Although my lovely references say I don't talk a lot, I can actually talk forever about most things with the right questions and the right amount of wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish I could be travelling all the time and always feel at home. There is so much to be offered and gained by meeting people who know a place well. My experience of Couchsurfing so far has led to some of the most interesting, memorable and friendly moments I have had away from home.

I am, to my shame, yet to host anyone but I am always excited to show people around my adopted home city and cannot wait to do so with Couchsurfers when possible!

Interests

Food is my passion: eating, cooking and sharing food, but also talking about and making better people's relationship with food in a sustainable future.

Otherwise I love writing, and I know reading is good for me. I'm always excited to learn new languages and to improve my knowledge of my own.

I have a love/hate relationship with theatre. I'm an eclectic music lover, from Beethoven to Belle and Sebastian.
