Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore the world, create unforgettable experiences, meet interesting people, and love the ones I've already met.
ABOUT ME
I love outdoor activities. Hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, climbing. I just love being outside and seeing new places! In particular I've been going on many backpacking trips recently--through the Grand Canyon and through the Emmental region of Switzerland.
I'm big into music. I'm a classical singer from growing up, which has taken me around the world, but I also play a bit of piano and have been learning the guitar seriously for the last year or so. Most of all, I love jamming with other people who love to play and sing music!
I also lived in Co-operative communities in college where we shared all the cooking and cleaning jobs and hosted community events--this became a big part of my life and identity that I try to carry with me!
PHILOSOPHY
Be happy and make others happy.
Intentions are essential: to be happy, to be helpful, to be a person of action.
Focus your attention outward.
Ask not what you can get from this person but what you can give.
Ask not what you can teach this person but what you can lean from them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm trying to deepen my investment in music, and I am hoping that a bit of traveling on couch surfing could enable some fun musical experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have co-hosted some folks at the co-op house in California where I lived during college (but before I had an official profile).
I have surfed just a few places so far, but always it's been amazingly generous and unique way to meet people and get to know an area. Honestly the nicest most amazing people have hosted me!
Interests
Playing, writing and jamming music. Also classical singing can be so much fun.
The outdoors! Hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, skiing, and always excited to try something new!
Physics!!
Languages--I'm not very good, but I love learning new languages!
Meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing philosophies of life and getting to know what makes people tic.

Music, Movies, and Books
Most recent awesome book: Dune
Most recent awesome movie: Just Mercy
I love a lot of different music, but especially folk music with beautiful vocal harmonies is really the sweet spot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snowmobiling on the side of a cliff in the middle of nowhere Montana. Right as we went around the corner, the guide said to us: "Don't f* up this one or we'll have to get a chopper out here!"
One of the scariest but most exciting experiences of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach outdoor skills (the basics at least).
I can teach music (singing, basic guitar and piano)
I could even teach you to program computers if you really wanted!
I love to learn how to do things with my hands like how to build things and how to maintain things (like a bike for example). You can teach me by having me help with a project!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music, food, cooking.
