I come from a film production background, specializing in post-production, yet, in my true form, I am a writer, drawn to screenwriting, as well as a visual artist aspiring to one day become a show runner on network television. I mostly write dark comedy/dramedies that attempt to relate to the human condition with a tongue-in-cheek approach. My art, or sometimes just artistic aspiration, is far-reaching but leans toward illustration, animation, textile, installation, and graphic design to name a few. I am currently sober, entirely free of drug and alcohol use—I’m enjoying every minute of it. I have recently quit my staff position at a film production company to return to the world of freelancing in hopes of having time to travel and pursue my dreams. Outside of my career and professional endeavors, I strive to be a humanitarian through regular community action. I am a practicing Buddhist in nearly the loosest sense of the word ”practicing,” but alas it’s progress over perfection. It’s worth mentioning that I adhere, fairly rigidly, to a plant-based diet for ethical reasons.

Upon quitting my job, I’ve decided that I want to travel around freelancing in the film industry, specifically in the art department, as I wish, city to city, working as a local hire (i.e. - someone responsible for their own room, board, and transportation) where ever I go. I’m currently in the market for a van for #vanlife, but I know that may not always be ideal as I travel through cities. And while I wait for the perfect van for me, I’d like to be traveling for work and couch surfing in the meantime.

I listen to bands like Fleet Foxes,The War on Drugs, and Pixies, etc. Broadly speaking, I enjoy trip hop, some hip hop. My favorite hip hop group is Wu Tang Clan. I grew up in southern Kentucky, so bluegrass music is ingrained into my heritage. As far as movies and books are concerned, I enjoy dark comedy, slice of life, sci-fi, drama, psychological thrillers, and epics.

This year, in March 2019, I think, I joined rank with a group of DIYers who formed a community action group back in January intent on meeting the needs of the indigent and houseless community of downtown Louisville, KY, all in the spirit of solidarity not charity.
