ABOUT ME

We are 5 25 year old lads who are good mates and live in a 5 bedroom sharehouse in the heart of brisbane. Our house is located down the road from a pub, 5 minutes walk to every other popular backpackers hostel in brisbane, daily prayer can be found a stone's throw away and the city is 15 minute walk away. We can basically spit on caxton street (500m walk) where there are always plenty of good times to be had. Our common interests are group discussion, conspiracy theories, cooking, fitness and just having a genuinely good time

PHILOSOPHY

At its core, the Rockhouse hostel's philosophy is a simple one; to welcome travellers to our city in a way that we would like to be welcomed when we travel ourselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are just 5 mates who want to meet some cool people and have some good times along the way. We have room for anyone who has a good attitude and likes to party. We have travelled the globe a fair bit and have met some really great people on the way. We have made a few good friends through couchsurfing, although through other friends accounts, and have always enjoyed the willingness and diversity they bring to our social dynamic.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many of my close friends are couch surfers and I have met many travellers through them and cannot say a bad thing about any of them, this inspired me to create my own account. I have hosted people in Shanghai, as well as Brisbane, and have had nothing but good experiences!

We are into surfing and snowboarding and have a timid interest in darts. Anything that gets the blood going will interest us, from extreme ironing to naked skydiving.

We have car with a sunroof so can offer urban safaris where our guests have a chance to see many of Brisbane's residents in their natural habitat.
