Actually a fully fledged born and bred Londoner! Having grown up in London, I've been exposed to a mixture of cultures, religions, races and sexualities around me and I appreciate the influence that has had on me.
I make sure to clean up after myself (leave no trace :P) but I am not a 'neat freak'.

I sing and play guitar and do some modelling too. Professionally I work in the health-food business, on the business-to-business end of the spectrum. However I am keen to change profession and move in to the 'caring' industry, perhaps as a therapist/psychologist. So I am currently assessing my options with regards to studying.

I love the ocean and tropical islands. I have travelled quite a bit, in the USA, over the past 2 years. I have had some amazing experiences WOOFing and staying at intentional communities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the bizarre global community aspect, where people actually open up their homes to travellers! Such a contrast from the majority of how society, at least in city-life, works.

I think that being able to stay with locals, gives one more of a real understanding of what it is actually like to 'live' in the respective country, not just visiting as a tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books

It may sound cliche, but I genuinely do listen to a really diverse range of music almost daily. At the moment I am really in to classic jazz and drum'n'bass. But I also love and regularly listen to folk, psychedelic trance and more.

Movies: I love French cinema and weird independent films that tackle big personal issues, such as gender and religion. I like how they make us question society and our beliefs.

Books: Rewriting the Rules (Meg-John Baker), The Body Never Lies (Alice Miller), The Golden Notebook (Dorris Lessing)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the Lava flow in Hawaii, and stood about 30 feet away from it, while watching the lava directly flow like a waterfall into the ocean! -
