HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, not at all - hoping to stay with some folks before the end of my current trip, and when i get back to the UK I look forward to hosting some people in London - as soon as I find somewhere to live, of course...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't tried couchsurfing through this website yet, but having stayed on the sofas of friends of friends - and friends of friends of friends a few times without prior introduction, i feel like i have a little experience with it. It so nice to feel like you get under the skin of a place, meeting someone who actually lives there, rather than always interact only with other backpackers...

兴趣

Travel! Anything different to what I'm used to. I suppose my greatest interest is people - i started travelling to see things, but what keeps me coming back for more is the people you meet on the road.

Too many books to list, but above all, I love stories. Just finished Anna Karenina - the transsiberian traveler's reading cliche, I guess, but what a great book! Now starting Zen and the Art of Motocycle Maintenance.

Sea turtles! Apparently this is quite a common thing to spot snorkelling in Malaysia, but for me it was totally wonderful. Couldn't stop going on about it for days!
