Hi, nice to meet you! I’m Charlotte 22 years old and from near Hamburg in Germany.
In 2018 I graduated from highschool and fulfilled my big dream and started traveling! With my twin sister I first worked on farms in Norway for three month and then went backpacking in Southeast-Asia for 5 month. Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia… It was such amazing time, we visited temples, went diving, enjoyed beautiful sunsets, saw wild Orang Utans and met wonderful people!
On the way back we did a stopover in Beijing for a week where I had my first Couchsurfing experience.

After this journey I went back to Germany and started studying environmental studies. After 3 years now I‘m almost finished but took a break to travel with my boyfriend Felix for a few month. We started in the beginning of July, went to Canada first, then to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. He had to leave for school but I’m traveling the philippines right know. My first solo travel!

I had an amazing Couchsurfing experience in China with a lovely couple. They were so welcoming and I realized what a great opportunity this app is.
On my journeys I met many amazing people and love to get to know other country‘s people and cultures.

I can’t really tell only one experience.. But maybe my highlight was the scuba diving on Pulau Weh in Indonesia or the 3-day jungle trek on Sumatra where I saw wild Orang Utans... Or the week on a lonely island without phone connection but with beautiful beaches and a lot of coconut trees...
