I am a 22 year old girl, currently studying at the University of Amsterdam. After graduating high-school in 2011, I took a gap year and travelled the world. Bought a van in New Zealand, hitchhiked through Australia and slept in the most dirty hotels in India. But I had the best time of my life. After that I lived in Paris for 3 months to be an au pair and learn French. In 2012 I started Uni-life. Right now I'm in my fourth year of studying history and in my second year of studying Latin and Ancient-Greek (I a hugh fan of the Classical Period). I'm loving every second of it. In August I moved to San Francisco to study here for one semester. I'll be here for the next few months before I head home and finish my studies. I have two little brothers and one little sister and the most beautiful blond Labrador whom I miss very much. That's about it I guess?

The best thing about traveling for me is meeting the locals. I love hitchhiking for example. And now, since I am will be living in the USA for a couple of months, I want to meet Americans. What would be a right way to do it? Right: couchsurfing!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: Uhmm, I not picky when it comes to music. I listen everything from Chopin (my favorite composer) to Britney Spears (when I'm feeling nostalgic) to the Black Keys (love them).

Books: currently re-reading catcher in the rye and still begin amazed at how awesome it is. I am slso taking an American Literature course here. Worked in a bookstore for two years and love to read. This is All by Aiden Chambers is my favorite book of all time.

Movies: Uhmmm I LOVE the movies (and series as well). Not very picky here as well. I love the 90's romantic comedies like 10 things I hate about you or the Princess Diaries. But on the other hand I really like going to indie films. Blockbusters are not really my kind of thing (but I have to admit that I do watch them sometimes....).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Difficult one. I walked the Queen Charlotte tracking in New Zealand. We walked 75 kilometers in 3 days and slept on the hard ground in our small tent. Still pretty proud about that.

- My prizewinning guacamole is the best you'll ever have (with Doritos of course)
- I can learn you Dutch curse words! Very handy. But if you have children I'll teach them nice Dutch words :)
- I can give you a history lesson! If there is anything you want to know about the Romans or the Greeks: happy to help! I can also teach you the Greek alphabet
- If I have the right ingredients I can make a nice bami.
