Overview
About Me
World traveler, I grew up in France but have been living overseas for more than 12 years including seven in Australia and 5 in New Zealand. Have been on a spiritual journey for the last 8 years experimenting with life! For a long time I was obcessed with "changing the world" starting lots of projects around sustainability but always feeling overwhelmed spreading my energy in too many directions.....until I figured out that to know exactly what paths I want to take in my life I need to go back to to the roots. The foundation. Who am I? What makes my heart vibrate? And eventually this had led me to my inner journey through personal workshops focused on emotional healing, circulating energy through dancing, and now to completing a yoga teaching course. This had led me to gain deeper understanding of my body and given me a greater sense of embodiemement. What feels good. What does not.
I am traveling to get out of the disneyland bubble we can easily find in Australia/NZ, to change perspective, discover new cultures, and compare how social and environmental issues differ depending on where you come from, to meet new people, and to get amazed by new landscapes and feel inspired by what people are doing in different parts of the world. Basically get out of the comfort zone. Be curious and amazed by new people and places.
Love...animals, having a good laugh, going on adventures, and being spontaneous! Meeting like minded souls and dancing on latin vibes!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet wonderful likeminded people who share similar values and interests while traveling. I did two big solo trips in South America, one short one completed recently, working in Peru one month and traveling around Ecuador and Colombia for 2 months, and one big trip completed 2 years ago spending a good chunk of time in Argentina traveling on horseback! My first CS experience was in Bariloche, Argentina and was more than I could have expected. Nacho was a fabulous host who not only was super welcoming but also always trying to help me and my friends who I was traveling on horseback with, letting us keep all our expedition gear stored in one of his rooms for a full month. I promised myself upon coming back that I'd return the favor opening the doors of my house in NZ....which I did. When living in Auckland with my awesome ex kiwi flatmatae, we received wonderful people. And then I got itchy feet again, found an opportunity to work for Makesense in Peru. So within a month, I was off again to this south american land that I love so much. After lots of hesitating between staying in NZ or coming back to France I have now decided to head back home! Yeah. A new chapter is starting!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Pack all my life in four boxes...
...to live a very old dream of mine....travel in South America....on horseback! And space is limited on a horse, so you gotta to learn how to be minimalist and pick only essential things for a four months journey!Tricky at first but sooooo liberating! The word "need" takes on a whole new meaning!
Switching career from marketing to environmental science/conservation and find the gut to go back to university for one year and a half to study something that was completely different.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can now teach soft gentle yoga based on full slow embodiemement practice
I can teach you french!
I can teach you how to bake yummy french foods
I can teach you how to kitesurf ...I am actually IKO certified!!
I want to share my enthusiasm, my open heart and my vision for a more sustainable world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A bottle of wine, some yummy food. In Cuenca, I made a lovely french dinner with quiche, salade and wine; which my hosts loved. We had such a great night, eating nice food in awesome company! I also like doing a bit of yoga, I have been practicing for many years and it's nice to share new postures with hosts.
I love sharing. And I think that's the only thing missing a bit here in NZ in comparison to other countries. My father is turkish and the notion of sharing is extremely important there. Same in latin countries. That's why I particularly loved Argentina for mate, and how a simple drink can create connections among people through sharing.
