About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to be a host a few times in my previous housing and getting a bit melancholic about those days! Hope to have a place with more space for hosting very soon. But for now you can count on me as your humble city guide in case you need some directions.

I can be your guide in Brussels nightlife, museums, cosy squares, gastronomical places, etc... I'm living in the city for 5 years and still feel like a tourist when I stroll around, impressed by what I see! I can be your humble guide and keep you safe from falling into the most common tourist traps.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time I celebrated my birthday couchsurfing in Montmarte, Paris with my friend. We sat and talked all night with the hosts and slept trough most of the day. I'll never forget how the host brought us those good old french pastries as a birthday brunch!

I also hosted a few times and got some fancy looking cuttlery as a present from 2 friends staying with us. We decided to respect this tradition and asked our guests to bring us cuttlery for our collection as we'd cook for them. Very convenient!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music = a very loooong list and quite versatile taste. A little electronic (Nicolas Jaar, Caribou, Gold Panda, Bonobo,..) A little rap/hip hip (Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Anderson Paak,...) A little bit of jazz (I never got to remembering those names :-p) A little classical too (I can't handle without some bach from time to time)

Books= I like Jonathan Safran Foer, Dave Eggers, Jontahan Franzen en Jeffrey Eugenides because of their realistic but slightly humorous style. I also enjoy Murakami's books that are much more etherial and have loads of spiritual connotations. The bird wind up chronicles is my favourite story and I read it up to 3 times. (For those who like book hunting, Brussels has a few good places for 2nd hand books in English)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some yoga moves with anyone interested. I can make my a pescitarian version of your/my national dish while singing your/my national anthem.

Countries I’ve Lived In
