Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being a PhD-student in Language/Psychology/Emotion research.
ABOUT ME
I am Charlotte, a 29 year-old who graduated from the university of Leiden, late November 2014. After I graduated I worked for various companies and one art fund. A year later, I got hired at the university of Tilburg to start my promotion project as a PhD student!
I moved to Tilburg in January 2016. I recently moved to a new house, to live together with my partner. We live in Tilburg-Noord. There are direct buses from central station, and 10 min. walking to the supermarket, various shops, and a swimming pool. :)
I am open-minded, creative and I like to take good care of you when you come over. I love to hear your interesting stories, like a natural psychologist. I aim to become a more courteous person.
PHILOSOPHY
If you know what makes you happy, keep doing it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like sharing.
Interests
I am a non-meat eating (pescotarian) woman who is interested in about everything. I love cooking, hoopdance, powerlifting, dancing, swimming, colours, theatre, science, reading, watching documentaries, (organizing) parties and dinner-parties, and a variety of geeky things.
I am a curious person who's always willing to learn more.
I love animals and think they should be treated with just as much respect as humans. Equality for all is important to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love going to the theatre and engage in various cultural activities.
I generally like books, and have a weak spot for dystopias and comedy. Some favorites are Lolita, The Exorcist, Brave New World, Harry Potter series, David Sedaris, Anais Nin and Jane Eyre.
I like many types of music, including but not limited to pop, hiphop/r&b/soul, jazz, rock and folk music. Some of my all-time favorites are Laura Marling, Die Antwoord, The Last Shadow Puppets, Lana del Rey, The White Stripes, Fiona Apple, Scissor Sisters, Kanye West, Arctic Monkeys and Elbow.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-When Jason Mraz thanked me for my time when I went backstage to meet him.
-Going to a trendy party in Stockholm with candeliers, and when leaving at 3am realizing it's still light outside.
-My dog giving birth to her five puppies.
-Going to my first queer gender-bending party in Rotterdam and ending up in the most awesome after party ever
-Milkshake festival in Amsterdam
