Hi! I'm a 21 year old who is currently backpacking throughout Europe in 2017 with my boyfriend, Alex. We're both big National Geographic nerds who enjoy nothing more than a day filled with adventure followed by a cozy night of hot chocolate and movies. We are both putting ourselves through university while working. This upcoming year we are making the transition into global studies/nursing which is why we have the winter semester off. I'm pursuing a major in Global Studies with the hopes of getting my Public Health Master's. My goal is to implement/and/or work for a NGO, non-profit organization or the government to provide health services to people all over the world (with emphasis in women's health).
We love rock climbing, hiking and meeting new people and sharing their cultures! We're excited to be meeting anyone who will host us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a young traveller who wants to connect with people from all around the world, couchsurfing is a great way to meet amazing people who share the same interests and passions as I do, as well as learn new things from those who have differing interests and passions!

Interests

I've always loved writing as a way to streamline my thoughts or painting a picture for the reader.
Ever since I travelled to the Netherlands for a school trip in 2013, my dream of travelling the world has been becoming a reality.
Surfing in the pouring rain in Tofino, BC was the best first surfing experience I could've had and I can't wait to go again.
Rock climbing is the perfect combination of physical and mental stimulation. I love how you can always get better and there are always new climbs to be solved.
I've been riding horses for 8 years and have had my fair share of falls and funny stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on 2 back-to-back trips to the Parliament in Ottawa and on a mission's trip to Agua Prieta, Mexico taught me alot about both politics and how much I have compared to others in the world and how much I want to help others who need it. It's not something amazing that I've done but the things I've done that have taught me something amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I don't have a particular skill I can teach but I have some random and useless facts I can share!
Learn: I am willing to learn anything. I definitely want to learn to cook more as well as brush up on my French. I love learning about new cultures and the people who are a part of these cultures.
Share: Whether it be a drink or a laugh or stories, I love being able to share my passions and experiences with others and be able to hear or experience their passions and favourite things as well.
