Hello 🌻 my name is Charmaine (Rae) and I’m 24 years old.

I have a job and I am also a student at the UvA. I love music, travel, languages, exploring different cultures. Besides work I also perform in and around Amsterdam as a singer. I spend a lot of time at work or meeting my partners for rehearsals plus I will be started my masters in communication science at the UvA. This means that I’m not often home and when I’m home at night, I enjoy spending that time relaxing, catching up on my favorite shows, trying out new recipes as I am a great cook (lol). I enjoy chatting and being social but I also appreciate the value of alone time. I’m very responsible and easy to communicate with.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am in a pretty urgent situation now as I had to move out of my apartment because the housing agency sold the apartment to a landlord who wanted to move his family in. So as you can imagine, the housing search has been a nightmare so I just need a place to stay while i attend viewings. Even a short amount of time would be very helpful.

I took a gap year after finishing my Bachelor's (University of Cape Town '16) and did an au pair program with a host family in Amsterdam for a year.
